The McAllen Public Library is looking for qualified candidates to volunteer at the McAllen Public Library Book Store.  If you’re interested in applying for a volunteer position, please visit www.mcallen.net or pick up an application at the McAllen Public Library. The volunteer hours are flexible and convenient for volunteers.  The position will assist customers purchase books, stock books and accept book donations at the McAllen Public Library.

The City of McAllen will be launching outreach efforts to develop Vision Zero Action Plan. The Vision Zero Action Plan is a traffic safety plan that will be created through data unique to the community in order to create safer transportation systems with a goal of reducing injuries and fatalities on McAllen roadways to zero. The outreach will include a multi-faceted approach, integrating education, engineering, evaluation, enforcement, and policy.

Keep McAllen Beautiful is looking for volunteers. KMB is organizing its annual Great American Clean-Up and Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at McAllen Municipal Park. The group of volunteers will meet in the park at 8 a.m. and be given their assignments to their locations. They are looking for volunteers, groups or businesses who would like to participate.
